A Guide to Compost & Soil
Our compost mixes are built to support and enhance your existing soil, adding nutrients, increasing moisture retention, and much more.
Using compost is a simple and extremely effective way to improve your growing practices, whether you have a farm or home garden.
How It Helps
Compost is full of nutrients that assist in the growth of a plant. It is a food source for organisms in the soil, which will release nutrients through feeding that will be absorbed by the growing plants.
The proper amount of compost also increases water retention by acting as a sponge, significantly increasing the amount of water that a soil can hold. Ensuring you add the right amount of compost to your work site is critical, as too much can degrade the quality of the soil and damage plants over time.
What It Is
Compost is a blend of organic, decomposed material. This can include food scraps, forest products, and other forms of green waste, which has been broken down through a special process. It amends soil, but does not replace it.
We offer our basic compost mix, and our premium mix, enhanced with additional special ingredients. Both are great options for any garden or farm.
