Our Big Plans for 2026
We’re buzzing with excitement and hard at work improving our site and streamlining our operations.
Our goal for 2026 is simple: to cultivate a year filled with growth, deeper community connection, and fresh, enriching experiences for you and your family. Here is a look at what is growing at the farm this year and how you can be a part of the journey!
Pioneering Progress: Major Infrastructure & Irrigation Upgrades
Efficiency and sustainability are at the heart of our 2026 renovations and that includes the importance of water conservation. We are implementing advanced ACID flood irrigation and subsurface drip (SDI) systems. These sophisticated upgrades are designed to deliver water and nutrients directly to the root of our crops, minimizing water waste and ensuring our plants thrive even during dry spells.
Cultivating Abundance: Expanded Planting & a Brand-New Nursery
Get ready for a more plentiful bounty and better access to high-quality plants for your own garden. Our planting operations are expanding significantly including our Orchard! We are building a larger, dedicated space to house a diverse selection of high-quality nursery plants and trees, from vibrant annuals to hardy perennials, these plants will be ready to be taken to their new homes in your garden.
Trees, Trees Trees: More trees means a greater bounty of delicious fruit and nuts.
We are carefully selecting varieties that are both resilient and flavorful to add to our existing fruit and nut orchard, ensuring a lasting harvest for our community for years to come. We are also pruning our trees to be sure we get a bountiful harvest to share this year and we’d like to invite you too! Stay tuned for event information about our Pruning Workshop with Rico Montenegro in February!
The Heart of Providence: Connection to the Land.
This year, we’re expanding that connection and inviting you to be part of a blossoming new tradition: The 2026 U-Pick Experience. We are readying our fields to ensure that this year’s harvest isn't just about the produce, but about the lasting memories you’ll pick alongside it. Mark your calendars for juicy, sun-ripened June strawberries and fresh mid-July blueberries. The taste of summer awaits!
We are also introducing our new Pumpkin Patch and exciting Corn Maze! At Riverland Farm, we are already in the planning stages for our 2026 fall season. Expect an immersive experience with our well-planned corn maze and colorful pumpkin patch!
Bringing People Together: Brand New Seasonal Events
Beyond the harvest, we are excited to announce a brand-new lineup of seasonal events designed to bring the community closer. These events are more than just gatherings; they are our way of saying thank you for your continued support and contributions.
Look forward to:
